  • 1/2 cup honey Adjust sweetness according to preference
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Low sodium soy sauce can be used
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Can substitute with chicken thighs

  • to taste Pepper

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Whisk thoroughly to mix the ingredients.
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken breasts.
  • Once the chicken starts to cook, pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the sliced chicken over rice or with steamed vegetables, drizzling remaining glaze from the skillet over the top.

Notes

Marinate longer for enhanced flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste, and feel free to experiment with different sides or variations.
