  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs (bone-in or boneless) Bone-in thighs are recommended for flavor and moisture.
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances flavor.
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
  • ¼ cup Honey Adjust according to your sweetness preference.
  • 1 cup Rice, uncooked For serving, this will yield about 3 cups of cooked rice.

Preparation

  • Mix the soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic in a mixing bowl to create a marinade.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken thighs, skin side down if applicable. Sear for 4-5 minutes until browned.
  • Flip the chicken thighs and cook for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown on the other side.
  • Pour the honey garlic marinade over the chicken and reduce heat to medium. Cover the skillet.
  • Allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the chicken, drizzle with remaining sauce, and serve over rice.

Notes

Serve with steamed vegetables like broccoli or carrots for a balanced meal. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor.
