  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Look for fillets that are bright in color and have a fresh smell.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Use raw honey for enhanced flavor.
  • 1 piece lime, juiced Freshly squeezed lime juice is recommended.
  • Salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper Enhances the flavor of the salmon.

For the Mango Salsa

  • 1 cup diced mango Fresh ripe mango works best.
  • 1/2 piece red bell pepper, diced Adds color and sweetness.
  • 1/4 piece onion, finely chopped Use red onion for milder flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Can substitute with green onions or parsley.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and lime juice to create the honey-lime mixture.
  • Brush the salmon fillets generously with the honey-lime mixture and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon on the preheated grill or pan and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove salmon from heat once it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Making the Salsa

  • In a separate bowl, combine the diced mango, red bell pepper, onion, and cilantro. Mix gently.

Serving

  • Serve salmon topped with a generous spoonful of mango salsa.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the honey-lime mixture for 30 minutes prior to cooking. Adjust sweetness and acidity to your liking.
