  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese Spoon blobs of ricotta evenly across the pizza.

Finishing Touches

  • 2 tsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade) Drizzle generously over the pizza after baking.
  • 1 tsp olive oil For brushing the crust.
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) and place a pizza stone or steel in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Dust a clean surface with flour and shape pizza dough into a circle about 10 to 12 inches in diameter.
  • Transfer the shaped dough to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.

Top and Bake

  • Spread the marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border for the crust.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then add pepperoni slices.
  • Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese evenly across the pizza.
  • Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone and bake for 7 to 10 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  • Drizzle hot honey over the pizza after baking.
  • Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh herbs before slicing.

Notes

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing to set the cheese. Pair with a side salad or drinks of choice.
