  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Rub the seasoning mixture generously over both sides of each chicken breast.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Sear the chicken breasts in the skillet for about three minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over each chicken breast.
  • Drizzle the hot honey (or honey and hot sauce mixture) generously over the chicken and feta.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Finishing Touches

  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, ensure chicken breasts are of uniform thickness. Customize the heat based on personal preference by adjusting the amount of hot honey or using regular honey with few drops of hot sauce. Consider adding fresh herbs for variation.
