Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef Opt for grass-fed or organic for better flavor.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup almond flour Acts as a binder for the meatballs.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the meatballs.
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Sauté until tender.
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream For creaminess.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional, for serving.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  • Form meatballs about one inch in diameter and set aside.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.
  • Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  • Return the browned meatballs and let them simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until combined. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For variations, consider adding different meats or incorporating extra vegetables like spinach. Adjust spices to your liking for a personalized touch.
