For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

For the Linguine

  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup pasta water (reserved)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the seasoned chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest.

Sauce Preparation

  • In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet to soak up the sauce.

Cooking the Linguine

  • Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente, reserving ¼ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In another pan, melt the remaining butter, sauté the minced garlic, then add heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Mix until the sauce thickens slightly, then add the cooked linguine and toss to coat.
  • Adjust the sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken over the creamy Parmesan linguine, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
