Preparation

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat and add ground beef. Brown for about 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.

Cooking

  • Add in the marinara sauce, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Let the soup simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to meld flavors.
  • Ladle the soup into bowls, topping each with ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, and fresh basil.

Notes
