  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a richer flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley Use fresh for best results.
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and a large mixing bowl.
  • Add ground chicken to the mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle in the breadcrumbs.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Toss in chopped parsley, onion, and minced garlic.
  • Season the mixture with oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  • Crack in the egg and mix everything until well combined.
  • Form into uniform patties, about 3 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook patties for approximately 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and firm.
  • Check internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Notes

Serve warm with dipping sauces, in salads, or in pita bread. Perfect for meal prep and can be frozen for later.
