Ingredients
  

For the Shot

  • 1 oz tequila Use blanco tequila for a clean flavor.
  • 1 oz watermelon juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.
  • 1 oz lime juice Freshly squeezed is recommended.
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup Adjust amount to taste for sweetness.
  • to taste chili powder For rimming the shot glasses.
  • to taste candy Such as tamarind or sour belts for garnish.

Preparation

  • Rim the shot glasses with chili powder by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into a plate of chili powder.
  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1 ounce of tequila, 1 ounce of watermelon juice, 1 ounce of lime juice, and 1/2 ounce of agave syrup.
  • Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
  • Strain the mixture into the chili-rimmed shot glasses.
  • Garnish by attaching a piece of candy to the rim of each shot glass.
  • Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

For an extra refreshing drink, chill your shot glasses before serving. You can also experiment with different tequila brands for varied flavors.
