Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in the granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Mixing and Baking

  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and brewed coffee.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before adding the café latte frosting, if desired.

Serving and Storing

  • Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • For longer storage, freeze brownies wrapped tightly for up to three months.

Notes

For added texture, consider mixing in nuts or experimenting with flavored extracts. Make sure to not overbake for a fudgier brownie.
