  • 1 cup oats Quick or rolled oats work well.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the creamy peanut butter.
  • Measure out the oats and pour them into the bowl with the peanut butter.
  • Mix the peanut butter and oats together using a wooden spoon or spatula until well combined.
  • If desired, drizzle in the honey or maple syrup, add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated.

Forming Cookies

  • Take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball with your hands.
  • Place the balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and flatten them slightly with the back of a fork.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate the tray for at least 30 minutes to allow the cookies to firm up.
