  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed tightly for best results.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Additional Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, stirring gently until just combined.

Combining Ingredients

  • Stir in rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.
  • Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them adequately.

Baking

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes
