Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
  • 8 ounces smoked sausage, sliced Any variety of smoked sausage works well.

Pasta and Sauces

  • 12 ounces pasta Any short pasta works well.
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce Adjust according to heat preference.
  • ½ cup ranch dressing

Vegetables

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced

Other

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional) For extra heat.
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Toss in the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add the diced chicken breast and sliced smoked sausage. Stir and cook until the chicken is no longer pink and the sausage is browned, around 8 to 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Reduce the heat and stir in the buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, coating the meat well.
  • Add uncooked pasta and enough water or broth to just cover it.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley. Offer extra buffalo sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

Consider using short pasta like penne or fusilli that can easily capture the sauce. Adjust spice levels according to taste and feel free to add leftover veggies for more nutrition.
