  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or fusilli) Choose your favorite shape to hold the creamy sauce.
  • 2 cups vegetable broth Adds flavor and enriches the dish.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Provides sweetness and a burst of color.
  • 1 each onion, diced Adds a savory base to your pasta.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Imparts wonderful aroma and taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Enhances the dish with herb flavors.

Cream & Seasoning

  • 1 cup heavy cream For a luscious, creamy texture.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • to taste fresh basil for garnish Adds freshness and color.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot, combine the pasta, vegetable broth, halved cherry tomatoes, diced onion, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  • Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

Cooking

  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and allow to simmer for about 10 to 12 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Once the pasta is al dente and the liquid has reduced to a slightly thickened sauce, stir in the heavy cream.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot, topped with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

Experiment with different pasta shapes and fresh ingredients for enhanced flavors. For additional protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or beans.
