Preparation

  • Rinse the green beans under cool running water and trim off the tough ends.
  • Pat the beans dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, combine the dried green beans with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and toss until the beans are well-coated.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and toss gently to ensure it clings to the beans.

Roasting

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread the coated green beans evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking or turning the pan halfway through.
  • Once tender and golden brown, remove from the oven.

Serving

  • Transfer the baked green beans to a serving dish and enjoy warm.

Notes

For an even more intense cheese flavor, consider mixing grated Pecorino Romano with the Parmesan. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
