  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Used to sauté the chicken.

Sauce ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream To create a rich sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for best results.
  • 1 red bell pepper roasted and sliced Adds sweetness and color.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Provides aromatic flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes For a bit of heat.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil To be added right before serving.
  • Additional grated Parmesan cheese For serving.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and set it aside.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  • Sauté the chicken for about 7 to 8 minutes, until golden brown and fully cooked.

Make the Sauce

  • Add the roasted red pepper slices and minced garlic to the skillet with the chicken, sautéing for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and allow it to melt completely into the sauce.
  • Stir in the red pepper flakes and dried Italian seasoning.

Combine and Serve

  • Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly with the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and fold in the chopped basil.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese as desired.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh ingredients and serve immediately. Consider adding a splash of lemon juice or hot sauce to enhance the flavor if desired.
