  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Use natural peanut butter for richer flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For additional flavor.

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats Old-fashioned variety recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet or dark chocolate.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze. Chill dough for thicker cookies.
