Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wrap each mozzarella ball in a slice of prosciutto, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Arrange the wrapped mozzarella bites on a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with freshly cracked black pepper.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the prosciutto is crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a moment. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

For optimal results, don't overcrowd the baking sheet and check the bites for browning during cooking. You can make these bites ahead of time and refrigerate them before baking.
