Preparation

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Introduce 1 pound of ground chicken, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Pour in the juice and zest of 1 orange along with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, stirring to coat.
  • Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For added sweetness, consider adding a teaspoon of honey or sugar. Adjust spice levels with red pepper flakes or hot sauce as desired.
