Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the finely chopped nuts, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  • Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • While the cookies are still warm, roll them gently in powdered sugar to coat. Let them cool completely before serving.

Notes
