Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract For flavor.

  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup chocolate chips, optional For extra flavor.
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt For finishing touch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined, avoiding overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the caramel chips and optional chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Scoop even portions of dough and place them onto prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches of space between each.
  • Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of flaky sea salt before baking.
  • Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
