Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure everything is within reach.

Cooking

  • In a large pot or slow cooker, add the shredded cooked chicken, black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic directly into the pot.
  • Sprinkle the chili powder and cumin, then season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • For cooking, if using a slow cooker, set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. For stovetop, bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Check the seasoning before serving and adjust salt or pepper as needed.

Notes
