Wonton Cups

  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use high-quality cream cheese for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese You can try different types of cheese for variation.
  • 2-3 pieces jalapeños, diced Adjust to taste for desired spice level.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust based on preference.
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • to brush amount Olive oil For brushing on top of the cups.
  • as needed amount Cooking spray To prevent sticking.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Gently press the wonton wrappers into the muffin cups to form little cups.

Filling the Cups

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each wonton cup without overfilling.
  • Lightly coat the tops of the filled wonton cups with olive oil.

Baking

  • Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider garnishing with fresh herbs or serving with dips like sour cream or guacamole. Ensure the wonton cups have enough olive oil for a crispy texture.
