  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup queso cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture generously over the steak.
  • Allow the steak to absorb the flavors while you prepare your skillet.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the seasoned steak into the skillet.
  • Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Add the cooked rice to the same skillet, stirring thoroughly to coat it with the savory drippings.
  • Slice the rested steak into thin strips.

Assembly

  • Place a portion of flavored rice on a plate and top with sliced steak.
  • Drizzle warm queso cheese over the steak and rice.
  • Add optional toppings like salsa, diced avocado, or chopped cilantro.
  • Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Always let your steak rest before slicing to retain juices. Customize toppings as desired.
