Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles
A delightful combination of tender chicken glazed in a sticky, sweet, and savory garlic sauce tossed with noodles, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or an impressive dinner.
Ingredients
For the sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional) For added heat
Main ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Cooked according to package instructions
- 2 pcs green onions, chopped For garnish
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Preparation
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if using). Whisk them together until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, toss the bite-sized chicken pieces with cornstarch to ensure they are evenly coated.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Stir well and allow to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- While the chicken simmers, cook the noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Lower the heat and add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken. Toss everything together until the noodles are well combined with the sauce.
Serving
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
