Ingredients
  

For the Fries

  • 1 pound Frozen fries or fresh potatoes Use frozen or cut potatoes into thin fry shapes.
  • Vegetable oil For frying.

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Nacho cheese sauce Can be heated in a pot or microwave.
  • 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
  • Sour cream Optional, for serving.
  • Chopped green onions Optional, for serving.

Preparation

  • Fry the frozen fries according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy. If using fresh potatoes, slice them, soak in cold water for 30 minutes, dry thoroughly, and fry in hot vegetable oil.

Make Nacho Cheese Sauce

  • While the fries are frying, heat the nacho cheese sauce in a small pot over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Assemble the Fries

  • Remove fries and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning evenly over hot fries.
  • Drizzle the warm nacho cheese sauce on top of the fries.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, optionally microwave for 30 seconds to melt.
  • Garnish with sour cream and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes
