  • 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour For coating
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 large egg For coating
  • 2 tbsp milk For egg mixture
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce For tossing finished chicken

  • to taste sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the deep skillet with about 1-2 inches of oil to a temperature of 350°F.
  • Cut the large boneless skinless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  • In the first shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a second shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk until combined.

Coating

  • Coat each piece of chicken in the dry flour mixture, then dip into the egg mixture, shaking off the excess.
  • Coat the chicken once more in the dry mixture, pressing gently to ensure adherence.

Cooking

  • Carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Sprinkle lightly with salt while still hot.

Serving

  • Toss the fried chicken bites with sweet chili sauce in a bowl.
  • Serve garnished with julienned carrots, chopped cilantro, and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, ensure the oil is preheated to the proper temperature before frying to maintain crispiness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
