  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use high-quality for best flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns a light golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the toffee pieces and chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few moments before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve warm with milk or ice cream.
