  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

  • 1 each egg
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 each Burger buns Soft, toasted hamburger buns preferred
  • as desired Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.) Customize as per preference

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients to ensure everything is at hand.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, and shredded white cheddar cheese.
  • Add bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper to the mixture.
  • Mix gently using your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Shape the mixture into patties of your desired size.
  • Preheat your grill or skillet to medium heat.
  • Lightly oil the grill grates or add a touch of olive oil to the skillet.

Cooking

  • Place the patties onto the preheated cooking surface.
  • Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the burgers from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your choice of toppings.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, allow chicken to come to room temperature before cooking. Refrigerate formed patties for about 30 minutes to maintain shape. Experiment with herbs and spices for added flavor.
